Arcola Bible promotes a two hour culture on Sundays. Following each worship service, we hold “Part II” which resembles a Sunday school format. During Part II there’s an opportunity to dive deeper into sermon or special topics from an application perspective. Selected recordings from Part II are posted here.
The Gospel for Kids
On June 4, 2017, Pastor Ray Cardwell and Gail Hutchins led a session about sharing the gospel with children. Ray explained our church’s approach to sharing the gospel in our children’s classes. Gail taught the “wordless book,” which is a simple way of talking through the truths of the gospel. You can listen to the audio here.
In January 2017, Janine Olkowski, the Education Director at Mosaic Virginia, gave a presentation on the impact of casual sex on the body, especially the brain.

Tongues in the Context of Pentecost
This session was taught after the lesson in Eph 3:1-13 titled “The Mystery” on April 10, 2016. That messages gives the historical context for this session. On the Day of Pentecost, and in the early part of Acts, we have the historical narrative of a transition in the Plan of God.
1) God is creating a new entity the Church, through the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and
2) God is warning that generation of Jews who had crucified the Messiah of coming national discipline.
The gift of tongues was part of that warning.
